As you mentioned, usually private school students prefer these kind of courses abroad. I think this is because of the financial stuff:( I wish some kids could be given some chance such as a scholarship or an award. This would really be motivating and a great experience for them. I'm working in an agency also one of International Education Agent. The rate of applying to summer school from Private Schools is more than applying from Government Schools. I would like to see more leader teachers with the junior groups who are looking forward to have a great experience introducing other cultures from the world. Luckily another teacher is coming too so I don't feel that all the responsibility will be on my shoulders. I once took a group of high school students (8 pretty girls!) to London for a long weekend. I didn't sleep for 48 hours and was forever counting them to make sure I hadn't lost any! That was too much and even though the trip was a success I still say: never again! :-)CoffeeAddict I’ll be going to Paris in April with some kids for a Comenius project.
